Contaminated fuel on our fleet
Danie Erasmus (Managing Director) has kindly requested that fleet operators only
purchase fuel from bigger fuel company’s which conducts quarterly maintenance
on their fuel storage tanks and monthly inspections for any water
contamination.
Fuel contaminated with water and rust increases damage to
fuel injectors, fuel filters and increases wear and tear on fuel pistons &
piston rings which increases cost in maintenance to replace or repair these
items, totalling anything from R15000-00 to R25000-00.
Please conduct a toolbox talk and forward proof of
communication to SHE Manager Ruan Kriek.
